Port Hope Candlelight Festival 2019

The Candlelight Festival Committee welcomes you to join us for our 2nd annual Candlelight Festival. The committee is a partnership between Critical Mass, the Municipality of Port Hope, and Downtown Port Hope (the HBIA), working together to kick off the holiday season in the most magical way.

The family-friendly festivities include the annual Candlelight Walk and Carol Sing down Walton Street, lighting up ceremony of the bandshell and trees in Memorial Park with entertainment and refreshments, late-night shopping throughout downtown for Moonlight Madness, an exhibit in the Little Station, shadow puppet multi-media performance art, a Christmas tree market, and a pop-up Holiday Night Market in Lent Lane!

We’re sure you’ll love the vintage holiday tunes in the Night Market, Mexican hot chocolate, churros, hot apple cider, goulash, s’mores and plenty of homespun artisan crafts! Warm yourselves by the Home Hardware fire-table, and take some Christmas kitsch photos in the Port Hope Heritage Business Improvement Area’s selfie station under the lights in the Lane, or in the photo booth at the Marlin Travel’s Open House & Warming Station!

Family friendly, but also makes for a wonderful date-night!
