CELEBRATE WITH US!
That’s a Wrap! What a year to launch our pilot Artist-in-Residence program. Join us as we celebrate the artists and the conclusion of our pilot program, funded by Ontario Trillium Foundation.
Saturday, October 23 @ 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Location: Picnic tables outside The Little Station
Free parking is available in the Elias Street lot behind Memorial Park, off Augusta Street.
Join us for an early evening ‘outdoor’ event, this Saturday, October 23rd, to help us celebrate the wrap up of our pilot residency program!
There will be some official speeches and photo ops to thank our funders for making this program possible and to thank our artists for being such great test subjects; we will have warm drinks and light refreshments to keep you cozy; and when the sun sets, we will project some short videos filmed by Two Blue Shirts Productions recapping the artists’ residency experiences in Port Hope this summer! We also have a special video presentation from returning artist (or ‘drawist’), Jay Dart, who is back to share a digital presentation of some of the work he started while in residence with us last August. In total the videos will take about 20-25 minutes.
If the sun is taking a bit longer to set, we will have some pumpkins available for you to start plotting out your Halloween designs, while we wait for it to get a bit darker to watch the videos.
You are welcome to take your pumpkin home with you, and/or bring it back to show off your creative chops on November 1st for our 3rd Annual Pumpkin Parade.
Artists Jay Dart, Susan Campbell, and Brian Hoad will be in attendance. So if you would like to come out to say hi and catch up with these artists, they will be at the event.
Please RSVP by email and we will reserve space at one of our picnic tables for you. Or you are also welcome to bring your own chair.
